Another tragedy yet similar story begun
Not a fiction, it’s common with never-ending conclusion
Unfolding new spells with antagonists in a zillion
Consumed with desire for more and zero
satisfaction
It was their victory and those before them
…
It’s the story of a mother with an unborn child
A father who always smiled even on days he was
drained and tired
It’s the story of children with dreams precious
like diamond
A brother to inspire and a sister to survive
It’s our story and those before us
…
The sky turned cold and grey gradually
The sun hid behind dark clouds inattentively
The airflow ceased quietly and hope perished inevitably
We felt betrayed, defeated and trapped,
honestly
As peace and love began to fade eventually
…
We were the kings & queens of a ravaged
land and forsaken palaces
We were the promises that had to become true
So much left undone, so many stories unmade
All that remained, broken hearts and fearful
souls
Amid the loss &
chaos, aid came from across
…
On a new journey, we set out for
With a path seemingly far and obscure
Unsure of the times and struggles we’ve yet to
bear
Questioning in our heads silently, will I
suffer even more?
Will I ever live a life free of fear?
If nothing, at least easier and fair?
…
We are in the promised land; it’s the reality,
whispered my soul
A land of the long white cloud with people like morning sunshine
Like a gentle breeze blowing new breath, a new
kind
We had nothing but received everything
All we needed was hope, you made us your own
And we felt no more alone
…
You acted and accepted in our hardest time
This gesture of ‘Welcome’ we will cherish for a
lifetime
You’re the truest friends, the kindest of all
Words of thank you may not be enough at all, but
‘Thank You’ all
This is our story, and you’re The Heroes of our
story
