Bamyan located in the central highland of Afghanistan at an altitude of 2500 meters (8, 202 ft) and 230 km (143miles) to the northwest of Kabul – neighbored with Samangan on north, Ghazni & Dai-Kundi on south, Baghlan, Parwan & Wardak on east; Sar-e-Pul & Ghor on west – is extraordinarily enriched with cultural, natural and historical tourist attractions which would once draw tourists in a great number & would contribute greatly to not only the provincial revenue but also to the national revenue before the country became the victim of war. Yearly thousands of national & international visitors used to explore the beauty, art, architecture and historical sites of the province resulting into the economic independence & growth of Bamyan.
However, the three decades war resulted into an absolute chaos & the total destruction of the entire infrastructure of the country; similarly, the cultural, traditional and religious values were highly in danger of extinction. The effects of such disastrous scenario inflicted the normal life of the people in terms of the social status, economic independence, traditional norms and national integrity throughout the country and region. It was not only some particular but almost all provinces of the country being target on frequent basis, the scale of whose destruction was beyond the anticipation and count of the nation and the International Community. Bamyan, one of the provinces, was the victim of civil war then of the brutal and ruthless approach of so-called Islamic revolution to establishing a fundamental Islamic region in accordance with the principles of Islam. The inhuman acts, brutality & gloomy years for (3) decades left nothing except the wreckage of life evolution.
Since the fall of Taliban regime, the Afghan Government and the International Community are firmly committed to preserving the national, historical & cultural heritages of the province with volunteer participation of the locals to help them be economically independent by opening the markets of tourism, infrastructure and foreign investment bringing new hopes to the lives of the people.
One of the proper means to the development of Bamyan is its positive image to the world so that improvements in lives of people flourish; prosperity and dignity to be the lasting fates of Bamyan & its people. This web-log is intended to portray the positive image in terms of the social & economic development, the cultural revival and the educational revolution of the province granting unprecedented success & glory which Bamyan deserves.
